TAE Cert IV in Training and Assessment (Part 2: Assess Competence)

2 days plus project work.

This learning program applies to personnel in the workplace who are responsible for conducting competency assessment in accordance with a developed system (including assessment plan, procedures, tools etc). It involves the collection, examination, documentation of quality evidence and making a judgment of competence against the relevant criteria. The workplace assessor is not responsible for the development of assessment tools. The unit of competency covered by this learning program is:

• TAEASS301B Contribute to assessment
• TAEASS402B Assess competence

We recommend the following personnel attend this learning program:

• Workplace assessors (operators/supervisors)
• Training coordinators / managers (with responsibility for conducting assessment)

This learning program will be delivered over two (2) days. Additional workplace assessment is required after the learning program. Additional support days are available (corporate groups only) where there is a requirement for participants to complete as much assessment as possible within the training period.

Background

The full qualification “Certificate IV in Training and Assessment” requires participants to complete 10 units of competency to attain the qualification. These 10 units have been packaged into 4 learning programs (see below). To improve flexibility for our clients, you may register for each learning program individually:

• Assess Competence.
• Train Groups.
• Design and Develop Learning and Assessment Resources.
